ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE! This program funded by Proposition C, passed in 1990 to fund transportation improvements and reduce traffic congestion. Customized patrol vans that drive a continuous loop along their specified routes to provide cost-free assistance to motorists for a wide variety of roadway incidents, including but not limited to: disabled vehicles, accident scenes, lost motorists, sick or injured motorists, pedestrians on the roadway, animals on the roadway, travel lane or shoulder debris, vehicle fires, fuel leaks, and other incidents that can be mitigated by FSP personnel.
