I am 6 1 and my husband is 5 7. We have been married for 14 years and have 3 children. I am not as comfortable with our height difference as my husband is. I always think it would be so nice to have someone taller than me to stand next to and not feel insecure. I am always preoccupied with my weight because my thought is,
if I am taller, I m at least going to be smalle!
My husband says that I wouldn t have my self image problems if I was with someone of more average height, and I tend to agree with that.
You would think after 14 years I would have accepted this about my life and moved on. But it almost seems to bother me more! How do you ladies deal with these things, or are you so self confident that it doesn t bother you at all? Help me get there! |

I have have no end of hassle because i am shorter than all my friends when we go out.Needless to say i end up with a woman at the end of the night so i dont mind.My friends may have in excess of 6 inches on me but the woman dont seem to mind.I seem to be abit of a man magnet for them.I think it is short woman who have more of a problem with short men than tall woman do.Being 4 10 tall my tallest date was with a woman who was 5 10.On the upside she decided not to wear high heels on our date.I have on occassions bought shoes with a bit of a heel but as soon has i kick them off there i am back below 5 0.I dont blame anyone for my lack of height my sisters got my dad s height and me and my brother Mark got our mum s height.So with me at 4 10 Mark at 5 0 and our mum at 5 1.Our dad on the other side is 5 8 with Lucy at 5 6 and Samantha at 5 9.I tend to just say that with me and Mark being that bit younger than our sisters
they just got all the height gene and me and Mark didnt.Growing up was a pain has we never got near our sisters for height.I can always remember them being way taller.I was always asking my parents if we would ever catch up.Photo s are usually a blast with me and Mark generally at the front and our mum wearing heels next to dad and our sisters.It seems abit weird how they are taller than us has i always thought that boys are taller than girls.Well it didnt work here then. |

In India, tall wife short husband combo is very rare. She also weighed about 13kg more than me during marriage, the weight gap increased after marriage to 18kgs (I am 52 and she is 70).
We openly discuss our height and weight issues before her mother and she doesnt feel anything odd about it.
In fact during marriage, most of the guests were busy commenting and discussing about our height difference.
During reception she was wearing a saree and a sandal with 2

when we stood next to each other I just reached her chin level. here cousins and friends burst into laughter when she had to bend so that I can garland her.
in our huge apartment complex, we are very famous, just ask anybody, where do the tall woman and her short husband live and they will tell you our address.
